Turquoise Blue Fused Glass Bowl 29cm(12"), Turquoise Blue Medium Swirl Fused Glass Fruit Bowl, Table Decor Glass Ornament, Glass Key Rest

A larger than life, vibrant kiln-formed bowl. Crumbled edged swirl relief, formed to the underside of the bowl, with a turquoise, clear and blue interlayer of bubbled coloured glass added to enhance the swirl relief. The relief was applied to the underside of the bowl leaving the top side smooth.

The Swirl Bowl can be used as a home decor feature and/or fruit bowl and/or a bird bath in the garden.

Dimensions: 29cm and 5.5cm deep | 11 1/2" and 2"deep

The top of the bowl is smooth and the underside is textured.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
