Fishscale Fused Glass Coasters 10cm - 2, 4 or 6

These fused glass coasters is inspired by my love of the natural aquatic world. The unique design formed to the surface was inspired by fishscale, a japanese pattern. The top side of the tile coaster is smooth.

These coasters can be used for cups, warm or cold on any surface, a dining tale, a coffee table, a side table or a kitchen worktop, it will stay in place thanks to the 4 bumbers on the underside of each coaster.

These coasters can be gifted and sent directly to the recipient, it is the perfect little handmade unique gift for a friend or family. It can be used as a tile or as a coaster in any decor, or any table, desk or worktop.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012 with handmade fused glass. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.
