Whale Frame - 34x18cm (13 3/8"x7"

This landscape glass panel in a frame illustrates a whale with the end of its tale out of the sea using low relief and colours to accentuate the texture of the whale. The colours of the sea are blue and turquoise with the whale in grey.

The front of the panel is textured and the back is smooth.

After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability.

CONTAINS: 1 Whale design frame 34x18cm (7"x13 3/8"x7") and 5cm deep (2") , the glass artwork is framed in. The frame is a box frame and ready to hang on the wall with a cable going across the backboard.
